About Jesse Olmedo, MD
Dr. Jesse Olmedo joined Arizona Dermatology Specialists in June, 2014. Dr. Jesse Olmedo has been practicing general dermatology in the Valley for over 9 years and performs medical, surgical, and pediatric dermatology. Dr. Olmedo received his undergraduate training at Texas Tech University where he graduated summa cum laude. While in his undergraduate training Dr. Olmedo was one of the few chosen Howard Hughes Medical Institute scholars allowing him to conduct orthopedic research throughout his undergraduate career. After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Olmedo went on to pursue his medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center where he graduated the top of his class and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. After medical school, Dr. Olmedo attended the prestigious Mayo Clinic Scottsdale for his internship and dermatology residency training. He was chief resident his last year of his residency and authored publications on optical coherence tomography which will hopefully allow us to further our understanding of skin cancers. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Olmedo has been practicing dermatology as a board certified dermatologist in the West Valley for over 9 years. He is the current President elect of the Phoenix Dermatology Society. Dr. Olmedo’s care philosophy has been a commitment to building long term patient relationships through prevention, early detection, and patient satisfaction. On his free time, Dr. Olmedo enjoys scuba diving, snow boarding, Ikebana Japanese floral design, cooking, and traveling.
