About Jerome H. Liu, MD
Dr. Liu discovered his passion for surgery early in life and was one of a few select high school students with a guaranteed admission to medical school as part of Brown University’s medical education program. After Brown University, Dr. Liu completed his medical education at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine where he graduated with one of the highest honors possible, membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Jerome Liu completed his general surgery and plastic surgery training at the UCLA Medical Center, rated “Best in The West” by US News and World Reports. While Dr. Liu was at UCLA, he received multiple research and teaching awards. In addition, he won a National Research Service Award, a grant from a branch of the National Institutes of Health and Veterans Administration to obtain a masters degree in health services research. During that time, he investigated surgical and health care quality in the United States.
