About Jeffrey E. Schreiber, MD
Baltimore plastic surgeon Dr. Schreiber is originally from St. Louis, Missouri. He attended a six year medical program earning both his B.A. in Biology and M.D. at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Medical School. During that time, Dr. Schreiber became a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. He then moved to Baltimore, Maryland to complete a general surgery internship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital followed by an integrated general surgery and plastic surgery residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital/University of Maryland plastic surgery program. He received the Upjohn award for clinical research, and he has published numerous plastic surgery articles. “As a board certified Baltimore plastic surgeon, I strive to provide excellent care with honesty, respect, and dignity for my patients. I believe that cosmetic surgery symbolizes more than simply “changing the way you look”. It should focus on changing how you feel about yourself allowing a newfound inner confidence to emerge and mirror the enhancement of your external appearance. Cosmetic surgery represents a personal choice for you. That is why I apply a one-on-one individualized approach to your treatment. During your initial consultation at Baltimore Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Center, we will work to determine which procedures best meet your goals and then tailor your treatment plan accordingly. This personal level of attention will continue as I am available to each of my patients at every step of the process – before, during and well after your procedure and recovery. In addition, you will find my talented and caring support staff to be just as attentive and accommodating as myself to all of your needs. I think I have the best staff in the world! My training at Johns Hopkins fostered an appreciation for practicing medicine with integrity and commitment to my patients. It also stimulated a desire to constantly advance my knowledge and it allows me to provide my patients with the latest advances in cosmetic surgery. Some of the newest innovations include minimal incision eyebrow lifts, the latest in body contouring techniques, and nonsurgical facial rejuvenation utilizing Botox, Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse, and Perlane. I also apply updated techniques to more traditional cosmetic procedures such as breast augmentation, ear reconstruction, tummy tucks, facelifts, eyebrow and eyelash transplantation, and more… My dedication to plastic surgery continues beyond my personal practice as I have published numerous journal articles and textbook chapters, and my research has been presented at local, national, and international meetings. I have also assumed leadership roles in professional associations and organizations. Finally and most importantly, I recognize the importance of the surrounding community that supports me. Therefore, I have conducted free lectures for both medical and nonmedical groups, as well as aspiring Baltimore plastic surgeons, to help them better understand the role of a plastic and reconstructive surgeon as well as dispel many of the myths they may have heard regarding cosmetic surgery. On a personal note, I am an artist by nature and I have displayed my work at an exhibit hosted by the St. Louis Artists’ Guild. When patients ask me why I chose to be a Baltimore plastic surgeon, I tell them that I always knew I wanted to be a surgeon, but I chose to be a plastic surgeon because of the creativity and artistry required to become one.”
