About Jason H. Miller, MD
Dr. Miller is a board certified dermatologist specializes in medical dermatology, full body skin examinations, surgical excisions of skin cancers or atypical moles, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Miller sees patients of all ages. Dr. Miller originates from Long Island, New York and received his undergraduate training at Cornell University. He then received his Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College. Following medical school, Dr. Miller completed his internship in General Surgery and two years of preliminary training in the Integrated Plastic Surgery residency program at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. This training provided extensive exposure to management of complex melanoma, skin cancer, and cosmetic patients. Dr. Miller then decided to pursue a career in dermatology, beginning with a one year fellowship in clinical research focusing on pediatric dermatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. This program allowed Dr. Miller to learn the intricacies of childhood skin diseases, an area in which he continues to both focus and enjoy. Dr. Miller then completed his three year ACGME approved residency in dermatology at the prestigious University of Texas at Houston/MD Anderson Cancer Center, recently ranked as one of the top ten dermatology training programs in the United States. After exposure to difficult medical (bullous diseases, cutaneous T cell lymphoma, chemotherapy reactions) and surgical patients (mohs surgery, melanoma excisions, mole removals, repairs including skin grafts and flaps), Dr. Miller completed his training in 2009 and passed his boards on the first attempt. Dr. Miller has published in peer reviewed journals and authored several chapters in highly regarded dermatology textbooks. He is on staff at Centrastate Medical Center, where he is frequently asked to consult on difficult dermatologic cases. He also currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he is actively involved in resident education. Dr. Miller has proudly become a New Jersey resident, as he married a native of Jersey. He has a wife and three children that happily occupy his time outside of work.
