About Jasmine Mohadjer, MD
Dr. Jasmine Mohadjer is a board-certified ophthalmologist and an oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeon who has been in practice in the Tampa Bay area for over 10 years. She started Eyelid Surgeons of Tampa Bay because she wanted to give her patients a unique, customized, and personal experience with not only exceptional care, but also outstanding customer service. Dr. Mohadjer’s goal is to make your experience here with us truly unique and personal. Dr. Mohadjer’s background and training was intense and long! At the age of 16, Dr. Mohadjer started college at Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Great Barrington, Massachusetts as a recipient of a full, 2-year Academic Excellence scholarship. She transferred to The Johns Hopkins University to complete her training and received her B.A. in Biology and Minor in Psychology during her time there. She also participated in significant research and had her first journal publication! She then started Medical School at the prestigious University of Alabama School of Medicine at the age of 20. She then finished four years of residency in Ophthalmology at the St. Louis University of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Mohadjer had a strong interest in Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and was accepted at the Washington University School of Medicine, one of only 13 programs available nationwide, and here she trained for an additional 2 years in a fellowship through the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). She is one of very few doctors in the world with this level of extensive training in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery around the eyes and face. There are over 500 different and specific types of surgeries in this area that she excels at, and she has performed over 10,000 surgeries. Dr. Mohadjer has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals and has written many book chapters. She is a distinguished speaker and has lectured nationwide in her field. Furthermore Dr. Mohadjer has been involved in leadership and is a past-president of the Tampa Bay Society of Ophthalmology, past board member of the Florida Society of Ophthalmology, and has served and presided over several committees and boards of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Mohadjer has also been very active in her local community and has been a long-time board member of Preserve Vision of Florida. She is also a board member of Hands Across the Bay, and with this opportunity has been able to provide Pro-Bono surgery and treatment for victims of domestic violence. Because of her specific expertise and her commitment to excellence, there are few doctors able to provide the type of care that Dr. Mohadjer provides. Dr. Mohadjer is very particular about her patients and their treatment and will be involved every step of the way to ensure you have a wonderful outcome.
