About Jasmina Bajric, MD
Dr. Bajric is a board certified ophthalmologist and oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeon. She graduated medical school with top honors, being awarded the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Award and the Gold Humanism Honor Society Award for academic excellence and compassion. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the world renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, graduating at the top of her class and receiving the John Dyer Graduation Award. While at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Bajric completed additional training in oculoplastic surgery at the prestigious Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, England. Upon graduation, she was one of only twenty individuals in the country selected to complete a fellowship in oculoplastic and orbital surgery through the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She is currently an assistant professor and head of oculoplastic and orbital surgery at the University of South Florida and Tampa General Hospital. Most recently, Dr. Bajric was appointed to join the Tampa Bay Lighting as one of their team physicians. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Bajric is involved in daily resident education at the University of South Florida, and is helping educate the next generation of ophthalmologists. She is also involved in a number of research projects and has been published in the most prominent medical journals to help further our understanding of oculoplastic diseases. What makes Dr. Bajric distinctive is her compassion, patience, and ability to listen and understand the needs of her patients. She has an in depth understanding of the delicate anatomy of the face, eyelids, and eye socket, and focuses her surgical expertise only on these areas. Currently, Dr. Bajric is one of the only surgeons helping patients with complex orbital cases in the Greater Tampa Area.
