About Janet R. Schwartz, MD
Dr. Janet Schwartz devotes her primary care practice to the care of women in La Jolla, California and the surrounding San Diego area. She focuses not just on primary care for women, but on gynecology, prevention of disease, and treatment of any health conditions, including skin care and dermatology, sleep and emotional issues, diabetes, high blood pressure, and hormone therapy. She’s also available to help meet urgent care health needs and provide general annual women’s care. Dr. Schwartz graduated from the University of California-Los Angeles School of Medicine and completed her post-graduate training in Internal Medicine and Family Practice at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Kaiser Hospital in Los Angeles. She practiced general Family Practice for 10 years, and, upon moving to the San Diego area in 1984, chose to focus on Women’s Medicine, a new specialty that she helped develop. Dr. Schwartz is a pioneer in this field, integrating the best standard and complementary medicine to promote your health. She assists women with cosmetic dermatology and any appropriate anti-aging regimens.
