About James S. Calder, MD
Dr. James Calder is the Medical Director of Ziering Medical’s Newport Beach office. A graduate of Creighton University School of Medicine in 1983, Dr. Calder’s career in hair restoration dates to 1999 at which time he underwent a formal preceptorship with an esteemed practitioner of the art of hair restoration surgery before joining ranks with Dr. Ziering in California. Following a sojourn with Bosley Medical on the eastern seaboard of the U.S., Dr. Calder recently returned to Southern California to rejoin Ziering Medical as it embarks on its expanded practice program incorporating cutting edge therapeutics for hair and skin conditions. Dr. Calder brings back to Ziering Medical an expanded repertoire of hair loss treatment remedies – including expert level FUE skill as well as in-depth knowledge and proficiency of PRP and other cell-based therapeutics to combat hair loss. Over the course of his twenty year practice history exclusively devoted to hair restoration surgery, Dr. Calder has amassed a wealth of experience across the range of hair restoration techniques and applications inclusive of facial hair transplants, such as eyebrow and beard transplants, as well as hairline reassignment.
