About James Bouzoukis, MD
Dr. James Bouzoukis is one of those doctors that you very seldom meet. He is personable, invested in his patients’ care and makes new friends wherever he goes. As a trained facial cosmetic surgeon and Otolaryngologist, Dr. Bouzoukis is an expert in face and neck anatomy. He has performed countless facial surgeries and uses his expertise in sculpting the face with dermal fillers. His patients have been quoted to say that his gentle technique and creative eye is what brings them back for future visits. Dr. Bouzoukis prides himself that many of his patients have been introduced to him by our existing patient base. Dr. Bouzoukis trained with Dr. Bomer and mastered her advanced filler technique which achieves naturally beautiful results. Dr. Bouzoukis is a master injector and has been performing Liquid Facelifts since 2012. He brings his 3D knowledge of the face, surgical skills, and each patient’s face and stage of aging into account before planning each non-surgical full face with dermal fillers procedure. During the Liquid Facelift procedure wrinkle relaxers such as Botox and dermal fillers such as Juvéderm, Restylane and Radiesse are strategically injected to sculpt the face in order to achieve a more youthful and attractive face. ThermiTight – The popular neck and jawline procedure rejuvenates the neck area by removing localized fat, tightening and contouring the jawline and neck. ThermiTight is a minimally invasive procedure which uses radiofrequency energy to melt fat; the procedure stimulates collagen production which then helps tighten the sagging neck. Dr. Bouzoukis performs ThermiTight with and without Liposuction. Dr. James John Bouzoukis graduated from Duke University with a degree in Neuroscience. After graduation, he worked at Georgetown University Medical Center researching spinal cord injury for 2 years. He attended Tulane University School of Medicine on an academic scholarship and received his M.D. degree in 1995. It was there he met his wife, Dr. Kelly Bomer. He graduated number one in his medical school class, receiving the highest honor for academic achievement. Dr. Bouzoukis trained in Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago, after which he received his full training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and is Board Certified. Facial Cosmetic Surgery is a significant part of Otolaryngology training, and Dr. Bouzoukis was privileged to train with world-renowned Facial Plastic surgeons, Dr. Eugene Tardy and Dr. Dean Toriumi. After training, Dr. Bouzoukis practiced general Otolaryngology, including parotidectomies, thyroidectomies and facial fracture reconstruction, as well as Facial Plastic surgeries such as rhinoplasties (nose surgery), blepharoplasties (eyelid surgery) and otoplasties (ear surgery). In 2004, he and his wife left their respective practices outside Chicago (and also left the bad weather) and founded Rejuvent Medical Spa & Surgery in Scottsdale, AZ. Dr. Bouzoukis continued to practice Otolaryngology, but as Dr. Bomer’s practice grew, he joined her part-time in 2010 as an injector. Dr. Bomer trained him initially in her injection technique for Botox and Dysport. She subsequently trained him in advanced filler techniques and concepts. Dr. Bouzoukis’ prior training in Facial Plastic surgery and his expertise as a head and neck surgeon made him an apt pupil in his fellowship with Dr. Bomer, where he refined his techniques in blepharoplasties and otoplasties. His passion and success in Dr. Bomer’s practice led him to close his Otolaryngology practice and join Dr. Bomer full time in 2012. Dr. James Bouzoukis lives in Scottsdale with his wife of 24 years, Dr. Bomer and their 3 cats.
