About Jacqueline R. Carrasco, MD
Dr. Jacqueline Carrasco earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology cum laude from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, and her medical doctorate from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. She was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society while in medical school. Dr. Carrasco continued her training with an internship at the Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland, Pennsylvania. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the world-renowned Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she was named Chief Resident in Ophthalmology. Following her residency, she completed a two-year Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery Fellowship, also at the Wills Eye Hospital and Lankenau Medical Center. Board-certified in Ophthalmology, Dr. Carrasco specializes in eyelid reconstruction, thyroid eyelid/orbital surgery and cosmetic eyelid surgery. She also serves as Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Thomas Jefferson University and Associate Surgeon at the Wills Eye Hospital. Dr. Carrasco is also an attending surgeon at Lankenau Medical Center. She is consistently named Main Line Top Doctor in her specialty. Active in a variety of professional organizations, Dr. Carrasco is a Fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She is also a member of the Wills Eye Hospital Society, American Medical Association and Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Carrasco chairs the Wills Eye Hospital Cosmetic Conference. She is also the author of numerous published articles on ophthalmology and oculoplastic surgery. She has trained numerous residents, fellows, and medical students.
