About Irena Kravtsov, DMD
Dr. Irena Kravtsov received her bachelor's degree at Rutgers College, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and then went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, NJ, where she was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. She completed her general practice residency at the Metropolitan Hospital in New York City. Being fluent in English, Russian, as well as Spanish, Dr. Kravtsov is able to speak the many languages of her patients making them feel at ease under her care. Though Dr. Kravtsov's focus lies in cosmetic-based dentistry, she also enjoys working with children. One of the many things that make Dr. Kravtsov such a solid dentist, is her extensive involvement with the community. She has been a representative for "Children's Dental Health Awareness Day" at the Liberty Science Center, where she educates children and their parents with the help of posters, games and activities about how they can improve their own oral health care and the dental care habits of their families. She has also participated in the "Smile Makers" program where she offered free screenings and exams to underprivileged children in Newark, NJ. These are just two of the many programs and community initiatives Dr. Kravtsov has been involved in. In Dr. Kravtsov's spare time, she enjoys ballroom dancing and traveling. She has been ballroom dancing since she was a child and prefers warmer tropical destinations when she travels.
