About Imran Amir, MD
Dr. Amir provides patients in the greater Philadelphia area effective and cutting-edge dermatological services. Dr. Amir is dedicated to providing the highest level of care while putting his patients first. He and his highly-skilled team are compassionate, respectful, friendly, and ensure that their patients receive the quality care and attention they deserve. Dr. Amir is board certified in both dermatology and internal medicine and is a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon and a procedural dermatologist. His certification in Mohs surgery allows Dr. Amir to treat most skin cancer cases, leaving as little trace as possible of the procedure. He also specializes in treating nonsurgical skin cancers, melanoma, and most general skin diseases such as rashes, psoriasis, and eczema, among others. On the aesthetic side of dermatological care, Dr. Amir offers state-of-the-art laser procedures that deliver appreciable anti-aging results. He also offers hair and vein removal, as well as skin resurfacing techniques. Dr. Amir received his training at the highly-regarded dermatology training program at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. During his residency, he received the Stelwagon Award from the College of Physicians of Philadelphia for his outstanding research projects. After his residency, Dr. Amir trained in Mohs Micrographic and Reconstructive Surgery and cosmetic dermatologic surgery at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Medical Center in New York. On top of his certifications and medical degree, Dr. Amir is a Diplomate of The American Board of Dermatology, The American Board of Internal Medicine; and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
