About Herb Greenman, MD
Dr. Herb Greenman graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was designated a Ben Franklin Scholar. He interned at Cabrini Medical Center in New York City and completed his medical and residency training in ophthalmology at Duke Medical School. He completed a fellowship in cornea with the renowned Dr. Eric Donnenfeld, where he received training in the latest techniques in cornea and LASIK surgery. Dr. Herb Greenman is one of the first cornea fellowship trained physicians to perform LASIK surgery in the Charlotte area. He is also one of the first ophthalmologists to perform the ReSTOR lens implant and Verisyse implant surgeries in Charlotte. Dr. Herb Greenman specializes in Laser Vision Correction, Cataract & Glaucoma Surgery, Diabetic & Macular Degeneration, Plastic Surgery & Strabismus, and dry eyes, in addition to routine eye exams for adult and pediatric patients. Herb Greenman, M. D. received the Duke University Eye Center Award for Ocular Innovation and Research. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and Association of Research in Vision Organization. Dr. Herb Greenman has presented abstracts and published papers on ocular trauma, use of antibiotics during cataract surgery, and case reports on unusual cornea findings at ARVO, ASCRS, and the American Journal of Ophthalmology.
