About Gregory C. Park, MD

Dr. Gregory Park is a double boarded surgeon with over 20 years of experience as a physician and surgeon. Dr. Park is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and performs a full range of cosmetic surgical and non-surgical procedures, including plastic surgery of the face, neck, eyes and nose, breast augmentation, breast lifts/reductions, breast reconstruction, liposuction, abdominoplasty/tummy tuck, and body contouring after weight loss or bariatric surgery. He is Nationally recognized as one of the Top 100 RealSelf Plastic Surgeons for his contribution, commitment, and expertise in cosmetic surgery and aesthetic treatments. From medical and surgical care for U.S. Air Force pilots and their families, to life-saving treatment for civilians and wounded soldiers in Afghanistan, Dr. Gregory Park, Lt. Col, USAF, MC (ret.) had a very distinguished and decorated career before starting private practice at North Coast Plastic Surgery in North San Diego County, California Gregory Park, M.D. was born and raised in the Midwest. He earned his Baccalaureate of Arts from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. After earning his Doctorate in Medicine at the Uniformed Services University, Dr. Park then completed his General Surgery internship at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Following internship, he earned his Flight Surgeon wings at the School of Aerospace Medicine at Brooks AFB and was assigned to Langley AFB in Hampton, Virginia where he provided medical care for F-15 Eagle, C-21 Lear jet, and UH-1 Huey pilots and their families. Dr. Park held the position of Chief of Flight Medicine and was responsible for the duties of seven physicians and ten flight medicine technicians. While at Langley AFB, he provided medical support for Operation Uphold Democracy and was named candidate for Flight Surgeon of the Year. Dr. Park returned to Wilford Hall Medical Center to study Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery where he graduated first among the Chief residents in the program. Following residency he was stationed near Tokyo, Japan where he assumed the role of Chief of Otolaryngology providing ENT and Facial Plastic Surgical services at both Yokota and Misawa Air Bases. He was then stationed at Travis AFB in Northern California where he continued to provide ENT and Facial Plastic Surgical services. Dr. Park completed a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, graduating at the top of his class. He was then appointed as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio and provided plastic and reconstructive surgical services. Toward the end of his tour in Ohio, Dr. Park deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom at Bagram Air Base. In Afghanistan he used his trauma and reconstructive surgical expertise to care for complex battlefield injuries. He also provided life-changing and life-saving humanitarian surgeries for the Afghan people and instructed numerous American, Afghan, Egyptian, and French surgeons and physicians. After returning home from Afghanistan, Dr. Park served as the Chief of Plastic Surgery at Mike O’Callaghan Medical Center at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, Nevada. There he provided plastic surgery services to military members and their families, and continued his humanitarian efforts until retiring after 24 years of service to his country. Dr. Park joined the private sector after retiring from the U.S. Air Force. He spent two years in Seattle Washington but decided to move his practice closer to family and sun in Southern California. Dr. Park opened North Coast Plastic Surgery in San Diego County bringing a wealth of knowledge, skills, and innovation in the field of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His practice encompasses unique aspects of cosmetic surgery and general reconstruction that he has integrated through his education, experiences and travels throughout the country and the world. Dr. Park is passionate about the art and science of plastic surgery. He is committed to excellence and delivers the highest standard of compassionate care based on communication, sensitivity, and understanding.
