About Gisela Torres-Bonilla, MD
Dr. Gisela Torres-Bonilla is a Board Certified Dermatologist with a passion for teaching and a commitment to care for all patients, from newborns to seniors. She is fluent in English and Spanish. Dr. Torres-Bonilla completed her bachelor’s degree in Biology magna cum laude at the University of Puerto Rico in Mayagüez, PR and received her Medical Doctor’s degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. She trained at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX for her Internship in Internal Medicine and at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH for her Dermatology Residency. Dr. Torres-Bonilla completed a clinical research fellowship at the UTMB Center for Clinical Studies in Houston, TX where she studied treatments for psoriasis, shingles and the immunology of psoriatic skin. After completing her postdoctoral research fellowship at Case Western Reserve University under an NIH training grant and the Dermatology Foundation, Dr. Torres-Bonilla authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed medical journal articles and book chapters. Dr. Torres-Bonilla and her family have lived in Florida for over 10 years.
