About George Hightower, MD
Dr. George Hightower, MD, PhD is a pediatric dermatologist and assistant professor of dermatology and pediatrics at UC San Diego School of Medicine. After graduating from UC San Diego's Medical Scientist Training Program (MD/PhD), he went on to the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill to complete a year internship in pediatrics and dermatology residency. He returned to UC San Diego/Rady Children's Hospital for Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship and then joined our faculty. Dr. Hightower's clinical interests include atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppuritiva, vitiligo and other disorders of pigmentation. Dr. Hightower enjoys time out in nature and the company of his wife and two children.
