About Geoffrey J. Gladstone, MD
Dr. Geoffrey Gladstone is certified by and a Fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). This indicates that he has specific training and expertise in this subspecialty. He is also certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Following his residency at Sinai Hospital of Detroit, Dr. Gladstone served his fellowship training at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary and Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Gladstone has been in practice in the Detroit area since 1983. He is the author of numerous articles and book chapters. Currently he is affiliated with a number of hospitals including William Beaumont Hospital-Royal Oak, St. Joseph Mercy-Pontiac and Genesys Hospital in the Flint area. He performs surgery at outpatient surgical facilities in the Detroit and Flint metropolitan areas. Dr. Gladstone is interested in all aspects of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids and face. He was one of the first surgeons in Michigan to perform endoscopic forehead surgery and has been performing cosmetic eyelid surgery for 30 years. He has pioneered new methods of endoscopic surgery for tearing problems as well as performing surgeries for eyelid drooping, eyelid tumors and malpositions of the lower eyelids. He has lectured internationally and extensively in the United States. He directs an international Ophthalmic and Facial Plastic Surgery fellowship.
