About Franz Kerdel, DO
Dr. Franz Kerdel, D.O. was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He obtained his bachelor of science in biology at the University of Miami and subsequently received a master of science degree from Barry University. He then went on to complete his medical degree at Nova Southeastern University – College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Kerdel completed his internship and residency at Larkin Community Hospital in South Miami, Florida, which hosts one of the few inpatient dermatology units in the United States. Throughout his training, Dr. Kerdel gained experience treating patients with conditions ranging from the common eczema, acne and psoriasis, to life-threatening dermatologic conditions requiring hospitalization. During his tenor as a dermatology resident, he presented at local and national meetings and has authored several articles in the field of dermatology.
