Dr. Frank M. Castiglione, Jr., has been in the practice of Dermatology since 1983 when he joined his Father, Dr. Frank Castiglione who worked as a Dermatologist until age 85. Dr. Castiglione, Jr. is a graduate of Yale University where he received his B.A. as a pre-med music major. While an undergraduate, he played 4 years for the Yale baseball team. He received his M.D. from New York Medical College and did his internship at Hartford Hospital. He followed this with a dermatology residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. While at Dartmouth, he was Chief Resident in Dermatology and Clinical Instructor in Medicine. He has been in private practice at 1844 Whitney Avenue, Hamden and holds an appointment as an Associate Clinical Professor at the Yale School of Medicine. He is also a Dermatology attending at the West Haven V.A. Hospital. Dr. Castiglione, Jr. is the immediate past President of the Connecticut Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery Society. He also served as President of the Society in 2003. In addition, he has been on the Board of Governors of the New Haven County Medical Association, the New Haven City Medical Association, and has been a specialty delegate to the Connecticut State Medical Society. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Castiglione's predominant interest is in general dermatology both adult and pediatric and he is board certified by the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Castiglione enjoys spending time at home with his wife and 3 children, and 1 grandchld. He is a classical pianist as well as a competitive master's rower and avid runner having run several half and full marathons.
