About Florence M. O’Connell, MD
Dr. O’Connell is a board-certified dermatologist who was raised in Jacksonville, Florida and is excited to be practicing dermatology in her hometown. Dr. O’Connell attended Jacksonville University where she graduated summa cum laude. She received her medical degree from University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. She went on to complete her internship in internal medicine as well as her residency in dermatology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. She served as Chief Resident in Dermatology during her final year of training. Dr. O’Connell is proud to have had the opportunity to give back to our veterans by providing dermatological care at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville. During her medical training, Dr. O’Connell had papers published in major medical journals. She also presented her dermatological research on the national level. She is a fellow of the American Board of Dermatology.
