About Fiona O. Zwald
Dr. Fiona O’Reilly Zwald, M.D. received her medical degree from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ireland/National University of Ireland in Dublin in 1990. After completing a residency in both internal medicine and dermatology in Ireland, Dr. O’Reilly Zwald came to the United States where she again completed a residency in Dermatology at the Emory University School of Medicine. After completing a clinical research fellowship in the Dermatology branch of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Dr. O’Reilly Zwald completed an approved fellowship training program in Mohs micrographic surgery and advanced reconstructive surgery at Vanderbilt University. Dr. O’Reilly Zwald then returned to Emory to serve full-time as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery. She developed a particular interest in dermatologic conditions associated with solid organ and bone marrow transplant recipients and established a multidisciplinary dermatology clinic onsite at the Emory Hospital Transplant Clinic, where she managed patients who had received solid organ transplants.
