About Erica E. Smithberger, MD
Dr. Smithberger earned her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of South Florida in 2005, where she subsequently completed residency training in Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery, serving as chief clinical resident. She is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology & is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Smithberger received her Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude from the USF Honors Program, with a major in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. Dr. Smithberger joined Clayton Dermatology Group in 2009. She accepts patients of all ages with a wide range of skin disease, and has a special interest in surgical management of skin cancers and non-invasive cosmetic procedures. She has developed a reputation for a gentle and very natural-appearing approach to facial rejuvenation. A native of Tampa, Dr Smithberger is married to her high-school sweetheart and they have four children. She enjoys the theater, art projects, traveling, and spending time with her family & friends. Dr. Smithberger also volunteers her time treating patients at the San Jose Mission in Dover.
