About Emily M. Becker, MD

Emily Becker, MD, FAAD, FAAP is board certified in Dermatology, Pediatric Dermatology, and Pediatrics. Dr. Becker has been practicing dermatology in San Antonio and the surrounding areas for more than 5 years, proudly serving both adults and children of all ages. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Dallas and went on to obtain her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA). Dr. Becker’s extensive post-graduate training includes completion of the following: pediatric residency in New York City at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, clinical research fellowship in psoriasis at University of California San Francisco, and both dermatology residency and pediatric dermatology fellowship in San Antonio at UTHSCSA. Dr. Becker is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also a Diplomat of both the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Becker’s awards and recognition include Phi Beta Kappa, Gold Foundation Humanism & Excellence in Teaching Award, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and UTHSCSA Medical Foundation for Scholarship for Academic Achievement. Most recently she received the Bexar County Medical Society’s 2018 Women in Medicine Award. Aside from her care of patients in the San Antonio and surrounding area, Dr. Becker extends her care to patients throughout all of South Texas through her dermatology practice at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. She enjoys volunteering her time at the Travis Park Dermatology Clinic, affiliated with UT Health. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Joseph Becker, MD, and her 3 young boys.
