Upon being formed in my mother’s womb, God fore-knew me. Being born and raised in a family that is the epitome of beauty both spiritually and physically, it was easy to gravitate towards a life and career dedicated to beauty and wellness. As a child, my love for beauty and fashion begin and grew immensely. Before graduating from high school, I began working as a receptionist in an upscale hair and nail salon. That is when I discovered I wanted to commit my life’s work to making women look and feel their best . Upon matriculating to Morgan State University, I began to coordinate fashion shows and working full time at the salon. After graduating with a Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing, my career continued in the beauty industry working as the salon marketing manager . Then after moving on to managing an upscale full service salon, I received my certification as a makeup artist. Knowing I wanted to do this daily, I went on to Von Lee International School of Aesthetics and graduated as a certified Aesthetician . With over 30 years in the beauty industry , my experience includes working at : salons, spas , coordinating while doing the make up for fashion shows, teaching skincare and make up classes, traveling across country to do bridal make up, having make up artistry published in beauty magazines, make up artist for plays, working for celebrity hair stylist Paul Mitchell, launching a make up line, helping to start a church that grew into a mega church( while serving on the board for 10 years ) serving as chair person for Single Mom’s Day of Beauty (transforming the building into a full service salon and spa, servicing over 500 women in one day) serving as co-chair for The Annual AME Regional Conference and helping plan, coordinate and host several celebrations and events in and around Maryland. Currently, I am the grateful owner of Eye Love Beauty Spa Experience which has been opened now for 9 years, performing daily esthetic duties. For 2018, I am starting a beauty journey to help people connect their spirit, mind, body and soul to the beauty of wellness through holistic self care. I believe and govern my existence after the scripture“God has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. Also, He has put eternity in their hearts, no one can fathom what God will do from beginning to end” Ecclesiastes 3:11 This quote above resonates with me: This is what I was born to do and I am so thankful that my steps and my path has been ordered by the Lord.
