About Divya S. Bhatnagar, MD
Dr. Bhatnagar is a long-time resident of Monmouth County, having grown up in Holmdel, NJ. She was awarded a National Merit Scholarship and attended Johns Hopkins University, where she received her B.A. in Biology with honors, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. She then received her M.D. from Columbia University. While in medical school, she developed an interest in dermatology and earned an Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Student Service Project Award that focused on sun protection education and skin cancer awareness. She has published several papers on sun protection and skin cancer treatments in eminent journals, including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. After graduating from Columbia, Dr. Bhatnagar completed her residency in dermatology at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Medical Center and Mount Sinai Medical Center, serving as chief resident. Having trained with experts in the field, she cultivated an aptitude for contact dermatitis. She received first place in the 2016 Contact Allergen Bee at the annual American Contact Dermatitis Society meeting. She now serves as director of the Contact Dermatitis Clinic at Monarch Dermatology.
