About Deborah J. White, MD
Deborah White, MD is a board-certified Plastic Surgeon who has been in private practice in Scottsdale since 1996. She specializes in cosmetic surgery of the face and body, with a special interest in breast surgeries and in surgeries after massive weight loss.Dr White has wanted to be a Plastic Surgeon since grade school, feeling that her artistic abilities as well as her scientific and academic ones would be well-utilized in this field. She was accepted to Harvard, Yale, and Stanford after graduating as valedictorian in high school, ultimately choosing Harvard as the place to obtain her undergraduate degree in Biology. She then returned to Arizona for her Medical School education at the University of Arizona, and subsequently did her General Surgery training in Phoenix, as well as a Plastic Surgery fellowship. She then completed her Plastic Surgery residency at the University of New Mexico, and followed this with a fellowship in Breast Surgery and Aesthetic Surgery with world-renowned surgeons Drs. G. She has taught courses in Plastic Surgery at the national and international levels, and made multiple television appearances. These include two seasons of one of the very first “reality” TV series, “A Personal Story”, which aired on the Learning Channel. In keeping with her artistic talents she has illustrated book chapters and journal articles for herself and for other surgeons.Dr White is a long-time member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, as well the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. She is the past President of the Rocky Mountain Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and past President of the Arizona Society of Plastic Surgeons. She spent over 10 years volunteering at a weekly multispecialty clinic that provided free second opinions for women with breast cancer.
