About Dean Anthony, MD
Dr Anthony grew up in Nebraska, graduating with distinction from the University of Nebraska with a degrees in Chemistry and Zoology, and receiving his Medical Degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. He completed his internship at Mt Zion Hospital in San Francisco, with a focus on radiation oncology. Dr Anthony then began his career in the US Navy, first as a Primary Care Physician and later as a Board-Certified Dermatologist, obtaining the rank of full Commander. During his residency he received unique training in tropical dermatologic diseases and also Dermatopathology. Enchanted by the beautiful Tri-Valley area, Dr Anthony began private practice of Dermatology in Pleasanton. He has striven to expand his services including special interests in Laser Enhancement of the skin and Sclerotherapy. He is active in many organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Pacific Dermatologic Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons, California Dermatology Society, California Medical Association and the American Medical Association.
