About David Webb, DDS, FACS, FAACS
Dr. Dave Webb (DDS, FACS, FAACS) was born and raised in Utah where he attended college at Brigham Young University. He took a two-year break from his studies and had an awesome experience serving a mission in Thailand. Upon his return, he met and married his wife, Amber. After completing their undergraduate degrees he and Amber moved to New York City so he could attend Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. While in his first year, Dr. Webb faced his fear of failure and ran for Class President and won—not only the first year but also the second and thirds years followed by Student Body President his fourth year. Columbia served as an ideal environment for an inquisitive mind and provided many excellent outreach opportunities. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Columbia he and his family moved to San Antonio, Texas, where he practiced general dentistry in the United States Air Force. Dr. Webb’s curiosity and love of learning was put to the test during his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center where he was exposed to an exhilarating yet unimaginably broad scope of practice that included wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, complex facial trauma, as well as TMJ and Facial Cosmetic Surgery. Again, feeling the need to push himself, Dr. Webb went on to complete a fellowship in Oral/Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He learned how to treat and reconstruct benign and malignant facial tumors as well as how to effectively manage patients in a critical care setting. After completing the fellowship, Dr. Webb moved to Vacaville to teach the OMS residents at David Grant Medical Center the things he had worked so hard to learn. The highlight of his military career was simply being with the residents in the operating room.
