About D’Anne M. Kleinsmith, MD
Dr. Kleinsmith started the Bloomfield Dermatology practice in 1989. She is a board-certified dermatologist on staff at William Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak. She received her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Kleinsmith completed her dermatology residency at Henry Ford Hospital. During her last year of training, she was named chief resident and won a research award from the Michigan Dermatological Society. While on staff at Henry Ford, she was involved in teaching and research. Dr. Kleinsmith served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Michigan and was the director of the West Bloomfield Dermatology Clinic. She was also a frequent speaker at national and international dermatology conferences and wrote several articles for peer-reviewed journals. In addition to her clinical, teaching and research experience, Dr. Kleinsmith has enjoyed working with the media. She was a medical reporter on the Channel 4 Evening News with Mort Crim and Carmen Harlan for several years. She also hosted the television program “Health Talks” on Channel 4, and hosted a weekly “Ask the Doctor” radio program on WXYZ. She has been quoted in many national magazines and newspapers. Dr. Kleinsmith practices general dermatology, dermatologic surgery and cosmetic dermatology. She has a special interest in cosmetic treatments and procedures including Botox®, Juvéderm™ and Restylane®. She is a member of the Michigan Dermatological Society, Oakland County and Michigan State Medical Societies and the American Academy of Dermatology. She has been named a “Top Doc” yearly for over a decade.
