Daniel I. Shapiro, MD, FACS is a renowned Scottsdale plastic surgeon who is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and has been practicing cosmetic surgery in the Scottsdale and Paradise Valley Arizona area since 1992. As one of the most well respected surgeons in the Phoenix metropolitan area and a past president of the Maricopa Society of Plastic Surgeons, Dr. Shapiro brings a wealth of experience to his practice, having meticulously performed tens of thousands of aesthetic surgical procedures. Dr. Shapiro’s aesthetic vision and surgical expertise has made him one of the most sought after plastic surgeons in the nation, constantly improving and evolving techniques introduced to him during his plastic surgical residency at the prestigious New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center in New York City where he was mentored by some of the most famous and gifted surgeons in the world. Dr. Shapiro is recognized as a leader in Aesthetic Surgery, and with over 27 years of experience, and having meticulously performed thousands of plastic surgical procedures with nationally recognized results, he was recruited to become an Instructor in Plastic Surgery for the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. He has been selected to be the Director of Aesthetic Surgical Training for the prestigious Mayo Clinic Rochester Plastic Surgery Residency Training Program. Through his work in this position, he educates and empowers upcoming Scottsdale plastic surgery residents from all over the world to develop artistic surgical skills while simultaneously understanding the complexities of cosmetic surgical patients and their care. Dr. Shapiro is extremely committed in sharing the gifts he has been given, and was awarded “Teacher of the Year” for the Mayo Clinic Rochester Plastic Surgery Residency Program in 2018.
