About Cristina Dracea
Dr. Cristina Dracea joined the practice as an associate in 2015. She was attracted to Suffolk Plastic Surgeons by the reputations and decades of combined plastic surgical experience of its three partners as well as its state-of-the-art facilities, ambulatory surgical suite, and luxurious on-site medical spa in East Setauket, New York.Dr. Dracea graduated as a Medical Doctor from the State University of New York-Stony Brook School of Medicine in June, 2006 after completing her undergraduate education at the City College of New York’s Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, where she was a 2003 Rudin Research Fellow recipient.Thereafter, Dr. Dracea remained at Stony Brook University Medical Center where she completed a residency in General Surgery from 2006 through 2011. During her residency, she received the Senior of the Year Award in 2009, was a two-time recipient of the Empire Clinical Research Investigator Program (ECRIPT) fellowship in 2007 and 2011, and was Chief Resident from 2010-11. Dr. Dracea then went on to complete her plastic surgery residency at the Nassau University Medical Center’s Plastic Surgery Residency Program. She has been trained in many aspects of plastic surgery, including but not limited to reconstructive, cosmetic, hands, and burns. She has a special interest in reconstructive surgery, particularly microsurgery and pediatric/craniofacial surgery.
