About Christle J. Layton, MD
Dr. Christle J. Layton loves seeing patients from all ages and all backgrounds. Dr. Layton was called to the profession of dermatology because of her time growing up in the Arizona sun and her research at Stanford Cancer Center in melanoma skin cancer. As an Arizona native, Dr. Layton earned her undergraduate degree in Physiology with minors in Chemistry and Spanish from the University of Arizona Honors College graduating with Honors, Summa Cum Laude. She engaged in research in the Department of Biochemistry and at the Arizona Cancer Center. During her undergraduate years she also studied in Spain and is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Layton went on to Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto, California earning her medical degree. Her Scholarly Concentration was in Community Health and Public Service. During her time at Stanford she engaged in clinical research at the Stanford Cancer Center related to melanoma skin cancer and pigmented lesions. In the following year, she completed a prestigious internship in Internal Medicine at Stanford University Medical Center. Dr. Layton then completed her Dermatology Residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Layton is an Arizona native and the 4th of 5 girls in her family with one sister who is also a dermatologist. She enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities, exploring other cultures, and travel.
