About Christie E. Matter, MD
Dr. Christie E. Matter is board-certified in dermatology and has been in private practice in Plano since 1999. Dr. Matter enjoys seeing new and established patients of all ages with skin, hair and nail conditions. Dr. Matter received, with honors, her B.S. degree in biology at University of North Texas in 1991. She then attended The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where she received her Doctor of Medicine degree in 1995. She graduated with honors and with membership in Alpha Omega Alpha, an honorary medical society. She completed an internal medicine internship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Matter received her dermatology training at Duke University Medical Center and Southwestern Medical School. She served as chief dermatology resident at Parkland Hospital. Dr. Matter is a well-rounded dermatologist who enjoys all aspects of general, surgical and geriatric dermatology. She recognizes the medical and psychological impact of skin diseases and aging and provides superb dermatologic diagnosis and treatment with empathy and compassion. She is committed to forming a long-term therapeutic partnership with her patients. Dr. Matter resides in Dallas and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She was named one of the Best Doctors in Collin County for 2012 and 2014 by D Magazine. Dr. Matter provides care at both the North Texas Dermatology Richardson and North Texas Dermatology Plano offices. Both offices are now a part of U.S. Dermatology Partners. Dr. Matter is in Richardson on Tuesdays and Plano on Wednesdays and Fridays
