About Christi L. Blakkolb, MD
Dr. Christi Blakkolb earned her medical degree from Chicago Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. She completed her internship and residency in general surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston followed by a plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Medicine. Board certified in general surgery and plastic surgery, Dr. Blakkolb has practiced medicine in Houston since 2012. Her clinical interests are in general plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Blakkolb provides caring, compassionate patient-centered care. She listens carefully to her patients’ issues and concerns and they decide on the best treatment plan together. She will collaborate with other surgeons and specialist to provide the highest level care to her patients. She treats both children and adults. An assistant professor of surgery in the division of Plastic Surgery at McGovern Medical School, Dr. Blakkolb is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery, Texas Society of Plastic Surgery and the Houston Society of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Blakkolb was listed in Houstonia magazine as one of the Top Doctors for 2016. Dr. Blakkolb and her husband, an orthopedic trauma surgeon, live in Bellaire.
