About Charles R. Anthony, MD
Charles Anthony II, MD is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, widely considered the nation’s most prestigious honor society. He received his medical degree from the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami in 2010. He was part of the University of Miami Medical Scholars Program, an accelerated honors program in which the BS and MD degrees are granted in seven years. Following medical school, Dr. Anthony completed an internship at St Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, an Ophthalmology Residency at the University of South Florida, and an Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital in Tampa. Dr. Anthony’s areas of surgical specialty include cosmetic & functional eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), browlifts, ptosis, entropion and ectropion repairs, tear duct repair, and skin cancers on the eyelid. He also is skilled in cosmetic procedures such as laser skin resurfacing, fillers and Botox. Dr. Anthony’s personal interests include fitness and nutrition, as exhibited by his co-founding of MUDDER NATURE, a fitness charitable group that promotes health and physical fitness in the local community. He has also been involved in other community service and mission projects including the Ronald McDonald House, Florida Department of Community Service, Fit to Play Program, Musical Ensembles for the Enrichment of Medicine (MEEM), as well participating in mission work in the Dominican Republic with Medical Students in Action.
