About Caroline N. Robinson, MD
Dr. Robinson is a board-certified dermatologist and Chicago native, specializing in general, medical and surgical dermatology. She received her undergraduate education from Cornell University where she studied Biological Sciences with an emphasis on Genetics and Development. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Louisville and graduated with Distinction in Research. She completed her internship and dermatology residency at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, IL and served as Chief Resident in her final year. After her years of training, Dr. Robinson returned to the Chicagoland area where she joined the Department of Dermatology at Northwestern University as Clinical Faculty. During this time, she also served as Director for Diversity Initiatives for the university. She is active in organizations such as the Skin of Color Society, Women’s Dermatologic Society as well as the American Academy of Dermatology. She has a special interest in scarring hair loss, disorders of hyperpigmentation, and ethnic skin dermatology. She has educated and spoken on these issues locally and nationally.
