About Carlos Medina
Dr. Medina completed college at the University of Puerto Rico, where he developed an interest to pursue a career in Medicine. While completing medical school in his native country, he became a member and student president of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Society. His achievements allowed him to have the opportunity to complete a full 5-year general surgery residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During his training as a surgeon, Dr. Medina published 17 manuscripts, participated on 16 national meeting presentations and wrote a book chapter on a surgery book as well. His hard work earned him the Moses Memorial Endowed Award for Outstanding Teaching at the Department of Surgery at Temple University. As administrative chief resident, he decided to stay at Temple University and complete his plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery training. Shortly after, Dr. Medina became double board certified by the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Plastic Surgery.
