About Brett E. Stompro, MD, FACS
Brett E. Stompro, M.D., F.A.C.S. brings a unique blend of artistry and technical expertise to the field of aesthetic surgery. Born and raised in the Bay Area, he earned recognition as a scholar-athlete and All American quarterback prior to graduating from high school. Dr. Stompro completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis and competed in varsity football while graduating with top honors. He then attended medical school at the University of California, San Diego where he graduated at the top of his class. Dr. Stompro continued his surgical training in General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, Davis. Dr. Stompro has received special honors and recognition in surgery and research, and he has been a speaker across the nation at surgical meetings. He has published a wide range of scientific articles in such a publications as The Journal of Surgical Research and The Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His interest in artistry and attention to fine detail has prompted him to specialize in aesthetic surgery. Dr. Stompro is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is trained in the latest plastic surgical technology including lasers and endoscopic techniques with small incisions. He has extensive experience in cosmetic surgery of the face, body contouring, and breast surgery. Dr. Stompro is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and has been recognized by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery for advanced education in cosmetic surgery. Dr. Stompro is also a member of the California Society of Plastic Surgeons and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. With offices in Danville, Livermore, Hayward and Tracy, Dr. Stompro has privileges at prominent local hospitals. Brett Stompro married his junior high school sweetheart, Janice, in 1983 and they have three children Stone, Bo and Sia. The Stompro family are active members of their community. Janice, a third-generation breast cancer survivor, has written 10 charity cookbooks, Recipes for Research, while raising over $70,000 to benefit breast cancer research. Both have sponsored events and spoken to numerous community organizations to raise breast cancer awareness.
