About Brad Stephan, MD
Brad Stephan, M.D. is a native Floridian and grew up in Southwest Florida. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the Florida State University, he went on to attend the Florida State University College of Medicine. Dr. Stephan’s commitment to excellence is as evident in his Aesthetic Surgery practice as it was in his education. During his college career, Dr. Stephan was consistently included in the Dean’s List and achieved memberships in the Phi Eta Sigma, Alpha Epsilon Delta, and Golden Key International Honor Societies. While attending Medical School, Dr. Stephan received numerous research and academic scholarships – a further testament to his dedicated nature in the pursuit of advanced medical knowledge. His volunteer experiences included events with Habitat for Humanity, the Dreams Come True Foundation, the Global Health Interest Group, the Oncology Interest Group, the Wilderness Medical Society, and a one-month medical mission trip to Nepal. A sense of community is of high importance to Dr. Stephan and his staff. Dr. Stephan completed extensive training in General Surgery through the American Board of Surgery at the Halifax Health Hospital in Daytona Beach, Florida and the University of Hawai’i General Surgery Residency Program located on Oahu, Hawai’i. While in residency, Dr. Stephan performed approximately 2000 operations within the fields of General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Trauma Surgery, Surgical Oncology, and others. His experience and skill opened additional research avenues. He wrote a medical textbook chapter delineating a new technique for abdominal wall reconstruction, gave many professional presentations, and authored multiple manuscripts regarding wound healing and postoperative pain control. He also performed consulting for multiple surgical device design and development companies and was selected to teach Advanced Trauma Life Support courses by the American College of Surgeons. Following residency, Dr. Stephan completed Fellowship training with the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. To further expand upon his surgical skill, Dr. Stephan completed over 700 aesthetic procedures, making him highly qualified to provide the best results for patients seeking aesthetic surgery. In addition, Dr. Stephan has obtained Board-Certification by the American Board of Surgery, the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery. Through his training and career, Dr. Stephan has honed his Aesthetic Surgery skills in body procedures, including contouring through liposuction and skin lifts, breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, and fat transfer.
