About Bonnie Arroyo, DDS
Dr. Arroyo was born in Takoma Park, Maryland and raised in Burtonsville, Maryland. She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at University of Maryland College Park in 2001 and then attended the University of Maryland Dental School earning her doctorate in dental surgery degree in 2005. From 2005 to 2006 she completed a one-year internship in oral & maxillofacial surgery with the University of Maryland Medical System, and then completed a four-year residency and received her certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. in 2010. In 2009 she held a part-time fellowship position in the Department of Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery / Division of Dental and Oral Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Arroyo is a Board Certified Diplomate of American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and of the American Dental Association. She is also an active member of the Middle Atlantic Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Maryland State Dental Association. She is also is a Fellow of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.Dr. Arroyo has staff privileges at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, Maryland. She serves on the Dean’s Faculty in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Maryland Dental School.Dr. Arroyo enjoyed riding horses when she was on the equestrian team, the EquiTerps, at the University of Maryland College Park. She started skydiving, riding motorcycles, scuba diving, and snow boarding when she met her husband, Dr. Jeremi Arroyo, in Dental School. Dr. Arroyo lives in Baltimore City with her husband and two boxers, Maxie and Mon’Amie.
