About Bernardino A. Arocha, MD
Dr. Bernardino A. Arocha, Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery and member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons since 2002, takes hair loss very seriously. Having experienced firsthand hair loss in his 20s, he knows all too well what it is like. He understands the psychological impact of hair loss and how it can lead to an enormous emotional burden, often causing low self-confidence and an impaired quality of life. That’s why Dr. Arocha has devoted his career to helping others experience the restorative effects he has enjoyed from his own hair transplant. Greater confidence. A positive outlook. More vitality. A feeling that anything is possible. An artist and art collector as well as a surgeon, Dr. Arocha combines the latest hair transplantation techniques with his innate aesthetic sense to maximize his patients’ hair restoration results. Indeed, during his fellowship in hair restoration surgery and the years he served in a busy national hair transplant group, he has developed many surgical techniques of his own. Dr. Arocha regularly is called upon to train other hair transplant surgeons around the world in artistic hairline design and other techniques. Dr. Arocha has a strong reputation among patients and other hair transplant surgeons because he consistently achieves a natural and undetectable outcome for his patients. His work consistently rejuvenates his patients with a head of hair that appears age-appropriate and, most importantly, will “withstand the test of time.” Dr. Arocha integrates the art and science of medicine in a surgical practice that treats each patient as the individual that he or she is. Dr. Arocha’s approach is tailor-made for each individual to maximize the outcome that works best for them. Unlike many providers, Dr. Arocha focuses solely on hair restoration. He has performed more than 4,000 hair restoration surgeries on both men and women. That’s an amazing total of over 12 million follicles transplanted! Dr. Arocha completed his medical school training at the University of Miami where he earned his M.D. in medicine and surgery. His post-doctoral medical training began at University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He continued his surgical training and completed fellowship training in both surgery of the venous system and hair restoration surgery.
