About Bernard Recht, MD, PhD
Dr. Recht was born and raised in the foggy Sunset District of San Francisco, California, where he attended Lowell High School. He graduated with a degree in Bacteriology and Immunology from U.C. Berkeley, and completed a Ph.D. degree in Immunochemistry from Mt Sinai – CUNY, while completing his research at NYU in New York City. Dr. Recht received his medical training at Mt. Sinai Medical Center and did his internship at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, California. A residency and a research fellowship in dermatology were done at Stanford University. Bernard Recht, MD, PhD is Board Certified in Dermatology. He is on the staff of El Camino Hospital, is a Clinical Instructor at the Palo Alto Veteran’s Hospital, and an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Stanford University Medical Center.
