About Bekah Dickenson, Aesthetician Specialist
I remember devouring cosmetics as early as my mom would allow it. All of my allowance and babysitting money went straight to makeup and magazines (before YouTube tutorials existed, imitating the looks in editorials was my best form of practice). Beauty was my aim and mascaras, liners, and shadows were my ammunition. I was introduced to the wonder of plant-based skincare in 2013 by complete chance when a lost little girl (me), stumbled into a position working for an indie beauty brand in Michigan called Elina Organics. FINALLY! A career-path that sparked passion through my bones! I was mentored by a cosmetic chemist, and after a few years, I was training estheticians on holistic skincare protocols myself. Instead of going to a beauty school, I completed an apprenticeship and became a licensed esthetician in the summer of 2017. As my knowledge of cosmetic ingredients expanded, it became apparent that many of the toxic ingredients I was avoiding in my skincare were still very present in my daily makeup routine. Not cool. Step by step, I have replenished my beauty arsenal with high quality, skin loving products and I am here to share my experiences with others who want to clean up their beauty routine.
