About Baruch Jacobs, MD
Dr. Jacobs received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1981. He completed his General Surgery residency at Boston University Medical Center where he was also Chief Resident in General Surgery. Dr. Jacobs completed his plastic surgery residency at the world famous Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Following his serving as Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, he received additional training in cosmetic surgery at the prestigious Manhattan Eye, Ear, & Throat Hospital in New York City. Along with his private practice, Dr. Jacobs is an Assistant Clinical Instructor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Miami and is former Chief of Plastic Surgery at Miami Heart Institute on Miami Beach. He is a member of the staff at many hospitals throughout Miami-Dade County, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is Board Certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. Additionally, he is member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Greater Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Jacobs has written and co-authored numerous articles on plastic surgery and has presented papers before national groups of plastic surgeons. He has been a guest on several nationally televised talk shows and is repeatedly consulted and quoted by local television news reporters. He has been named by The New York times as the plastic surgeon who has been entrusted with keeping Miami Beach beautiful.
