About Avery Kuflik, MD
Dr. Avery Kuflik, MD graduated from Emory University, Atlanta, GA and the Chicago Medical School. He completed his internship at North Shore University Hospital Manhasset, NY and at Sloan-Kettering Memorial Cancer Center, New York City. He completed his dermatology residency at the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, VA where he was selected as the chief resident in dermatology in 1997. Dr. Kuflik is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a Fellow of the American Society of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Kuflik was awarded the honor of Physician of the year in 2000 by the American Cancer Society, Eastern division. He is an Affiliate Staff Member at the following: Hackensack Meridian Health – Ocean Medical Center Dr. Avery Kuflik’s expertise includes general, pediatric, and geriatric dermatology, Mohs micrographic surgery, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic procedures. These procedures include Botox, Radiesse, Juvederm, Restylane, Boletera, Intense Pulse Light, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and photofacial rejuvenation for fine lines, wrinkles, age spots and scarring. Dr. Kuflik is an Ocean county native, having graduated from Lakewood High School in 1984, and he has lived most of his life at the shore. As a young man, he worked as a lifeguard in Long Beach Island, and he continues his tradition of helping his community today as a caring and talented physician. He organizes and participates in many skin cancer screenings offered to the public and often gives advice in medcial publications as well as newspapers (Asbury Park Press ” Cutting out cancer”) and television (News 12 NJ Health Report).
