About Arno W. Weiss, MD
Dr. Weiss began his career as a surgeon in 1970 when he earned his medical degree from the University of Washington. As a young graduate, Dr. Weiss completed his internship in general surgery at Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1971. In 1974, Weiss completed a residency in general surgery at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. Later inspired to study plastic surgery, Dr. Weiss completed an Otolaryngology Fellowship at the Wayne State School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan in 1977. Immediately following, he began his residency in Plastic Surgery Residency at Providence Hospital Medical Centers, Southfield, Michigan. Dr. Weiss is currently in private practice in Saginaw, Michigan and is affiliated with Covenant HealthCare and Tawas St. Joseph hospital in Tawas, Michigan and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University. In addition to his outstanding career, Dr. Weiss also holds several affiliations and certifications. Dr. Weiss stays current in his field through continuing education and by maintaining dual certifications by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology. Dr. Weiss’ professional memberships and affiliations include: the Michigan Academy of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Royal Society of Medicine-London England, the Midwestern Association of Plastic Surgeons and the American Association of Hand Surgeons. One of the most important and gratifying aspects of Dr. Weiss’ career is the breadth and depth of his more than thirty years of experience and his caring attitude toward his patients.
