About Anthony Romania, MD
In addition to being board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Romania is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. For over 10 years, Dr. Romania has volunteered his time at the Veterans Hospital in West Haven, CT. Dr. Romania has also volunteered many years of service to the American Diabetes Association and has served on the Board of Directors of the State Affiliate and as Chairman of the ADA County Chapter. During the past 25 years, Dr. Romania has received wide recognition for his medical research. He has published numerous research articles in national journals regarding his work with retinal diseases and disorders. Dr. Romania has received letters in request for his research papers, not only from physicians throughout the United States, but also from physicians in Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Israel, Japan, Sweden and Switzerland. Dr. Romania has lectured at numerous medical and community functions throughout the country. In addition, on two separate occasions, Dr. Romania has spoken to physicians gathered from throughout the United States, at the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
