About Anita R. Kulkarni, MD
Dr. Anita Kulkarni is an award-winning, board certified female plastic surgeon in Washington DC with a special interest in post-pregnancy body contouring and breast reconstruction after cancer. Consistently ranked among Washington DC’s best plastic surgeons, she brings an artistic eye and technical expertise to every case. Dr. Kulkarni founded DC Plastic Surgery Boutique to bring to life her vision of creating an aesthetic practice for women, by women. She believes that both surgical and nonsurgical treatments should enhance your beauty in a natural way, and she is dedicated to educating her patients on all the latest aesthetic advancements. Dr. Kulkarni is a graduate of Northwestern University and the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She completed her plastic surgery training at the University of Michigan in the highly competitive integrated plastic surgery residency, one of the oldest and most respected training programs in the country. After residency, Dr. Kulkarni worked on state-of-the-art breast reconstruction at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. When she’s not taking care of patients, Dr. Kulkarni spends time with her husband, who is also a physician, and their two little girls. She is passionate about travel, and has taken her children on some epic international adventures! Some of her favorite trips with them include indoor skiing in Dubai, safari in Kenya, grotto exploration off the Amalfi coast, and an overnight in a Berber tent in the Sahara desert!
