About Angela N. Beckford, MD
Angela N. Beckford MD, MPH is a board certified and fellowship-trained dermatologist specializing in surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Beckford completed her dermatology residency at Boston University School of Medicine after a surgical internship at Lenox Hill Hospital/New York University School of Medicine in Manhattan. Advanced training was obtained during a Skin Oncology Fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine where she received the distinguished MFD Award for Humanitarianism. Dr. Beckford was the recipient of the Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award on receiving a Master of Public Health from Florida International University. In addition, she also completed an internship in Epidemiology with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Director of Health Promotion and Education Scholarships Program at the Miami Dade Health Department. There she was awarded the Miami-Dade County Health Department’s Health Hero Award for Extraordinary Contribution to the SARS/smallpox national protocol. Dr. Angela Beckford has been involved in numerous dermatologic clinical research trials as well as medical school educational projects. She has presented on cutting edge cosmetic technology at national meetings such as the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS). Dr. Beckford has also co-authored many published peer-reviewed journal articles. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, ASLMS, Women’s Dermatologic and the Skin of Color Societies. She is affiliated with Hackensack University Medical Center. Dr. Beckford treats a wide range of skin conditions including skin cancer. She takes pride in offering individualized care to every patient. Her goal is for you to achieve your full potential with healthy radiant skin. Dr. Beckford combines her mastery of artistic, sculpting and surgical skills to attain a natural and rejuvenated appearance when performing various cosmetic procedures such as liquid facelifts (botox and fillers). Outside of the office Dr. Beckford enjoys broadway plays, outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.
