About Andrea L. Pozez, MD
Dr. Pozez is Professor and Chair of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center. Dedicated to customizing surgical solutions for her patients, Dr. Pozez approaches each patient consultation with empathy, confidence, and compassion. In an era of digital information overload, she believes the doctor-patient dialogue remains essential to achieving life-enhancing results. Dr. Pozez completed General Surgery training at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in NYC and specialty training in Plastic Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals. In 1990, she entered plastic surgery practice and today brings an immense depth of knowledge coupled with experience to each patient encounter. Dr. Pozez specializes in complex wound healing, burn surgery, breast, hand, and microsurgery. As Program Director of Plastic Surgery training at VCU Health System, she is dedicated to the educating the next generation of surgeons. Dr. Pozez is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, is a fellow of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and is a member of the American College of Surgeons.
